Sensing Sydney: communicating sustainability through the arts



The City of Sydney is seeking expressions from Artists, curators, cultural organisations and creative teams for an exciting new temporary public art project, Sensing Sydney, to debut during Art & About Sydney 2013. 

Sensing Sydney: communicating sustainability through the arts, open data and public space, is a project which aims to bring historic and real time data alive in ways that celebrate our collective efforts to address environmental challenges engage the public in an active dialogue on environmental issues and citizen-engaged action.

Sustainability data in Sydney is available for download on the project website. Additional or alternative sources of data can be requested or proposed by the artist.

The deadline for submissions is 20 May, with more information and the application form available at www.carbonarts.com.au. 

The project budget is $25,000. The successful bid will be announced during ISEA 2013 on 16 June at Object Gallery.
